1. Scope of application
This accessibility statement applies to the website www.femsense.com including all subpages as well as the associated online shop functionality.
As a company that offers products and services to consumers within the European Union, SteadySense GmbH is obliged to comply with the requirements of the European Accessibility Act (Directive 2019/882), which has been fully applicable to new products and services since 28 June 2025.
2. Compliance status
The website www.femsense.com is currently partially compliant with the WCAG 2.1 Level AA standard (EN 301 549 v3.2.1).
The areas listed below are not yet fully accessible. Remediation of identified deficiencies is being addressed through our continuous improvement process.
3. Known Accessibility Limitations
3.1 Redundant Navigation
The main navigation menu is output multiple times in the HTML source code by the page builder used (Elementor). This can result in screen reader users hearing the same navigation points read multiple times, which limits usability for this user group.
3.2 App Store Badge Alt Text
The alt text of the app store badges (Google Play, Apple App Store) currently contains only the filename instead of a descriptive text alternative.
3.3 Color contrasts
Individual color combinations (light text on colored backgrounds) have not yet been fully reviewed for compliance with the minimum contrast ratio of 4.5:1 (WCAG 2.1 Success Criterion 1.4.3).
3.4 Form Accessibility
The accessibility of the contact form (explicit label associations, error messages for screen readers) has not yet been fully reviewed.
3.5 Accessibility on mobile devices
The femSense app is covered by Directive (EU) 2019/882 as part of service provision. A formal review of compatibility with assistive technologies (VoiceOver on iOS, TalkBack on Android) has not yet been conducted and documented.
3.6 Accessibility of Instructions for Use (IFU)
The publicly accessible instructions for use (IFU) for femSense are available as PDF files. The images contained in the IFU have not yet been fully reviewed for the presence of meaningful alt text. A screen reader compatibility review of the IFU pages is still pending.
4. Accessibility Measures Already Implemented
- All informative images on the website have meaningful alt text
- The website is correctly marked up in the main language German (lang=”de”)
- An English-language version of the website is available (language switcher provided)
- All certificates and documents are accessible as linked PDF files
- Product pages contain descriptive text about all essential product features
