Finally pregnant thanks to femSense
elanie had been trying to conceive for 7 long months before she finally had a positive pregnancy test in her hand. Knowing that we are always happy to hear about femSense success stories, she contacted us to share her exciting news.
It is not unusual for a pregnancy to sometimes take longer than expected - there is no such thing as "normal". At femSense, we hear many of the individual storiesthat women don't necessarily want to share with their friends and families, but with other women who are trying to get pregnant to give them hope. In our exclusive blog interview, Melanie tells us her story.
Hello Melanie, first of all, congratulations! That's great news. Thank you so much for getting in touch with us and being willing to share your very personal story.
Thank you. Sometimes I still have to pinch myself to realise that everything is real. I'm really very happy. I wouldn't normally talk about something so personal, but since I've been in touch with you so often on social media and the Support team I almost feel like I know you guys! You have been so helpful that I want other women to know that femSense has helped me a lot on the road to pregnancy.
Perhaps you could tell us a little about yourself first?
My name is Melanie, I am 34 years old and I live with my boyfriend just outside Liverpool. I'm a nurse and my boyfriend is a police officer. We both work shifts. That's why we thought it might be a bit complicated to get pregnant.
Had you been planning a family for a while?
I wouldn't say that we had been planning it for a long time. But we both knew that we wanted to start a family at some point. When two couples we were friends with announced their pregnancies last year, we realised it was time.
How long did it take you to get pregnant?
It lasted 7 months. I know that might not sound very long, but for me it felt like an eternity. At first, we decided to take the stress and pressure out of "making a baby". I have a fairly regular cycle and decided to start my Ovulation using the temperature method and by observing the cervical mucus. I'm a nurse and thought it would be easy. But it wasn't! As we both worked in shifts, the Timing really important, but I soon realised that I couldn't use the temperature method due to my shift work and irregular bedtimes. I rarely get up at the same time and measuring and analysing was just too much work for me. What should have been romantic suddenly became stressful. I was really depressed.
How did femSense help?
After 4 months I have finally femSense found - thank God! I searched the Internet for Ovulation tests and came across femSense. The fact that femSense measures continuously and basically does all the work of measuring and analysing made it very interesting for me. When I read that it was suitable for people with irregular sleep patterns, I ordered my first pack. I first took a pack of 6 and got pregnant with the third patch. I contacted femSense on Instagram with a few questions, which were quickly answered. When I had a WIFI problem, I contacted the technical support team and they also helped me without any complications. I really had the feeling that the whole femSense team was behind me. The personal message on Instagram when I posted the photo of my positive pregnancy test gave me the feeling that the team was happy for me. I'm now going to give my remaining patches to my girlfriend as part of her birthday present and with any luck we can be pregnant at the same time.
Thank you very much for your positive feedback Melanie, we are very happy about femSense babies. I was going to ask if you would recommend femSense to friends, but I think you've just answered that.
Ha ha, yes, my girlfriend will get my leftover patches next week.
Do you have any other advice you would like to give to other women who want to have a baby?
Yes, don't waste time like I did. The femSense patches and thus save time and nerves, was the best decision for me.
